Boyfriend's Day

Boyfriend's Day 30.09.23

Do you know the definition of the word boyfriend? According to the dictionary of the Polish language, a "boyfriend" is, for example, a male child or a young man who is a girl's crush. Cultural changes that are taking place in the world, for example the cult of youth, have made it possible for a boyfriend to be an older man nowadays.

Soon, September 30th will be Boyfriend's Day – a celebration of all boys! It is an unofficial holiday celebrated in Poland for several years, mainly by teenagers. On this day, the girls wish the boys well and give them small gifts.

Interestingly, it is not known where exactly the idea of celebrating this holiday came from and why this particular date was chosen. What is certain, however, is that it is gaining popularity every year thanks to the media, especially the Internet and social networks. Currently, Boyfriend's Day is celebrated in several countries in Europe and Asia, but on different dates. The country where this holiday has the longest tradition is Japan.

At WOMAI, we will also be celebrating Boyfriend's Day. Therefore, on September 30, we invite every boy (regardless of age) to two interactive exhibitions "Into the light" and "Into the darkness". You will get 20% discount! Tickets are available for purchase through our website. The number of places is limited.

You are warmly welcome!
