Soon it will be one of the happiest holidays celebrated in over 100 countries around the world - CHILDREN'S DAY!

Did you know that in Poland we have been celebrating it on 1 June for over 70 years? Every year its aim is to make adults aware of the rights of the youngest. Children should be respected and loved.

How do we celebrate Children's Day in Poland?

Most often there is a lot of fun. We spend time with family and friends. We prepare surprises for the youngest, for instance presents, sweets, going out for ice cream or to favorite places.

If you are looking for an interesting idea for Children's Day, visit the Centre for Science and Senses WOMAI . You will find plenty of attractions here on 1 and 2 June.

  • For younger children who love scientific experiments, we recommend the exhibition Into the light. There they will find out what colour a shadow is, turn the world upside down,..
  • For older children (age 9 and up), we recommend the exhibition Into the darkness. This is an entrance for an hour into a world of total darkness with blind people as guides.
  • In addition, there will be candy hidden in the exhibits, balloons and washable tattoos that glow in the dark! Great fun and interactive learning is guaranteed.

You can buy tickets for exhibitions on our website, but hurry - the number of places is limited.

You are warmly welcome!
