The Ministry of Education has launched a new project to subsidize school trips, providing an excellent opportunity to enrich the educational process of students through visits to, among others, science centers and museums. Planning a visit to our Center aligns with the program points included in the Ministry of Education's announcement: "The condition for obtaining funding is the inclusion in the trip program of a visit to a museum, art gallery, theater, opera, philharmonic, science center, open-air museum, or other cultural institution (referred to as educational points)."

Why is the WOMAI Centre a unique place? With us, students can experience a different dimension of education - based on learning through fun and experientially discovering the diversity of the world around us. Our Centre offers two amazing exhibitions: ‘into the light’ and ‘into the darkness’. At ‘towards the light’ you can discover the fascinating world of science, while ‘towards the darkness’ will allow you to develop empathy while learning about the lives of blind people.
At the exhibition "Into the darkness" all the lights will go out and we will be introduced to the realm of the senses. In the absolute darkness we will join a blind guide and try to get to know the world from his perspective, we will create in our imagination an image of what is invisible, what we can hear, touch and even feel. We will experience first-hand how blind people function on a daily basis. The offer is designed for pupils in primary school grade 5 and above.
For the younger participants (1st - 4th class of primary school, pre-school groups with children from 4 years old) we have prepared a unique sensory workshop, where we learn about the life of blind people in a comfortable environment. The specificity of the activities and the variety of materials will improve the sensory experience of the participants and stimulate the senses. We will prepare works created from diverse art materials, which will be readable to blind people. The whole meeting will be led by one of our blind guides, who will share information about his world with the participants on this occasion.
The exhibition "Into the light" is an extraordinary collection of interactive experiments that allows us to explore the world around us. All phenomena are explained by a guide, always in an interesting and accessible way. Everyone, regardless of age, will find something to their liking here; at our exhibition you can discover, among other things:
For younger children, the exhibition is conducted in the form of a game; the guide at each object allows them to discover the phenomena themselves, while providing unforgettable entertainment.
Only science can defeat the dragon! But how exactly? Discover it with us!
Demonstrations of chemical and physical experiments, allowing you to experience how explosive, full of twists fun science can be.
During the experiment show with pressure, fire and water, you will embark on a fascinating journey into the world of science. You will not only be able to watch, but also actively participate in the experiments, becoming the helpers of our brave scientists!
The show lasts up to 60 minutes and is dedicated to students up to 4th grade of elementary school.
A workshop full of dynamic experiments! In the “ Laboratory of explosions” you will learn how to control the power of pressure, fire and chemical reactions in practice. Each experiment is an explosive dose of knowledge and excitement.
During the show you will take part in some of the experiments yourself, becoming for a moment scientists discovering how powerful chemical reactions can be. No jokes - here we bet on serious explosions and scientific fun!
The show lasts up to 60 minutes, dedicated to students in grades 5-8 of elementary school.
In the world of science, everything starts with theory, but the real magic happens when we put it into action. At our workshop you will see how theory meets practice. We will show you experiments in chemistry and physics that change the way we perceive the world around us.
You will understand how the laws of nature work - from pressure to chemical reactions to fascinating physical phenomena. These aren't just simple experiments - it's a demonstration of how science is building the future, and you'll be witnesses and participants in it.
The show lasts up to 60 minutes and is dedicated to secondary school students.
Pursuant to the Act of 28 July 2023 amending the Act - Family and Guardianship Code and certain other acts (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1606), the Standards for the Protection of Minors were introduced at our Centre, which were developed to ensure the safety of children and eliminate potential risks. The document can be read at the link: [LINK], and is also available to all interested parties at the reception desk of our Centre. A graphic version for children has been placed in a visible place in the Centre's waiting area. Centre staff have been trained to protect minors from abuse, including how to recognise the signs of abuse, as well as how to take appropriate action in the event of threats.
Organised groups should contact us by email. Entrance for guardians is free. The number of guardians depends on the number of participants.

Responding to your needs and the great interest in the “Into the darkness” exhibition, we decided to create an equivalent adapted to our youngest audience: preschool children and students of grades 1-4 of primary schools.
We came up with the proposal of an amazing sensory workshop "See by touch", during which we will discuss the functioning of blind people, we will learn how they perceive the world, and by exercising our own senses, we will create typhlo graphics, i.e. images available for people with visual disabilities.
We organise regularly all kinds of competitions for schools and for individuals. In each of them, you can win an attractive award.
You can find our current competitions on our Facebook profile: WOMAI Cracow
We encourage you to follow us on social media.
In our offer you can find tours throughout our exhibitions in a foreign languages (an offer dedicated for example for linguistic classes):
A guide speaks in a foreign language and delivers to the guests revision materials related to more difficult vocabulary used during the tour.
Organized groups that visit our Center and any of the places listed below can count on an appropriate discount:
