October saw the third edition of a unique event in Krakow - Sensory and Serious. The WOMAI Center became its partner. The event was entirely dedicated to accessibility and raising awareness of the need for universal design. This year's edition focused on accessible gaming.

On 18 October, the Sensory and Serious conference was held at Tesco Technology. Blind guides from the WOMAI Center, Krzysztof and Jacek took part in a panel discussion on “Accessible gaming in the eyes of the gamer and the developer - common goals”. We talked about audiogames, the problem of inaccessible games for blind people, ways to improve the accessibility of games on the market.

On 19-20 October, Jacek supported teams and participants as a mentor during the Hackathon.

On 24-26 October, Open Accessibility Days were held in Galeria Krakowska. We prepared special sensory workshops for children. We wrote in Braille, created tactile pictures (tylographs), played sensory games, recognised objects with the sense of touch and spices with the sense of smell. The guides from the exhibition "Into the darkness" educated about blind people through fun.

We would like to thank the organisers of Sensory and Serious for the inspiring talks and many positive impressions.
