A book fair was held in Katowice from 3-5 November. Among new books on display was a science fiction novel, “Andromeda. Dead Sky” by Erick Elis. The event was also special for WOMAI, the Centre of Science and the Senses, a partner of the book, which had premiered there a few months earlier.

The stand was full of balloons, leaflets and passages transcribed by blind guides in Braille alphabet. In addition, there was a short film showing the work on the mural which adorns the “Into the light” exhibition at the Centre and which is a landscape from the book.

The book could be purchased in a set with promotional materials, which included bookmarks with funny mistakes caught during the editorial stage, stickers with elements of the world depicted in the novel, posters, and a playlist that inspired the work. The book is definitely worth a look, after all it deals with climate catastrophe and the actions of people who are struggling to survive. More parts are planned, so stay tuned!
