On 12 and 13 April, the Navigator Festival took place at the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre in Krakow.

How do blind people travel? What makes it harder and easier for blind people to get to know the world? What souvenirs do they collect during their travels? These questions and many more were eagerly answered by Paweł Król, a blind traveller and guide at the “Into the darkness” exhibition at WOMAI, who has visited more than 30 countries in an effort to learn as much as possible about the culture of their people.

On Saturday, 13 April, his inspiring lecture "Is the world beautiful for the blind?" took place. In addition, it was possible to talk to him at the WOMAI stand. We prepared many activities including listening to a binaural recording of the journey, touching blindfolded models of monuments and coins from different countries, playing sensory games or learning the secrets of Braille. Every person who approached our stand found something of interest.

We are happy to have been able to take part in the Navigator Festival. Nowa Huta Cultural Centre - thank you for the invitation.
