The First Association When You Hear The Word Physics?

That's right. Fear of just stepping up to the blackboard..

A subject hated by pupils that everyone would like to erase from their memory. Lots of formulas with no connection to reality, fractions, numbers that keep us awake at night. Adults find it hard to understand the intricacies of books, but what is a child to say? Science subjects at school definitely leave a lot to be desired, yet they are fundamental to understanding the world we live in. Do we have to be doomed to a lack of knowledge?

There is a way to remedy this.

"Into the Light" is an unusual exhibition that shows a new style of looking at scientific phenomena. It entertains and teaches, and shows that physics, chemistry and other sciences do not bite - quite the contrary! OK, but what is it actually about? What is it that makes every visitor leave after an hour and a half of playtime smiling, inspired by new ideas and, above all... inspired?

The purpose of the journey through the bright side of the scientific centre is surprisingly simple:

we are looking for answers to questions about the amazing phenomena, forces and laws that govern the universe in which we live. We are provided with a scientist guide who explains each phenomenon in detail, while leaving room for play. The exhibition is divided into several thematic sections, each enriched by scientific objects from different fields. These are by no means objects we know from school books. Here, science takes on a completely different dimension. With a pinch of creativity from the guides and the unlimited imagination of the visitors, it becomes a source of inspiration.. What will you experience here?

At the exhibition you will break away from your shadow and leave it....

on the wall. Then you will see what colours it consists of. A phenomenon turns out to be the coloured sand, where the colours change dynamically, depending on the visitors' imagination. Mountains, lakes, valleys, lava erupts from the sand volcano , the whole world is modelled by the visitors' hands. Here you will not only activate your sense of sight, the exhibition will show you how to develop your hearing with unusual instruments as well. How about hearing and sight at the same time? Let's try it, for example: seeing sound! And in two ways: sound can have both colour and shape. How is this possible?

The laser harp will reveal its strings to you,

from which you will make a multitude of sounds, and from the theremin you will hear ghostly sounds that have inspired horror film makers. You will encounter scientific illusions and unusual objects at every turn. The colourful Einstein will ask if you were sure you remembered to wash your hands after leaving the bathroom. Is that all there is to it? Definitely not! The entire team is working hard to bring further designs to life to enhance the guest experience.

All these objects are just beautiful illustrations of phenomena that are sometimes difficult for us to understand.

Phenomena that are difficult to explain even by teachers. However, it is not the objects that make up the exhibition. There is another piece of this unusual jigsaw puzzle from which the sensational nature of the bright exhibition grows. It is the people. It is they who create the unique atmosphere of this place, who carry out their mission with passion and commitment, with a head full of ideas and a heart that manifests itself every time a visitor arrives. Without them, the centre would be just a building, beautiful on the outside but, despite the mass of facilities... empty on the inside.

The exhibition "Into the light" is more than just an exhibition.

It is an innovative way to spend time together. Away from phones or laptops, we all become curious about the world, ready to explore its mysteries. Of course, our curiosity will never be fully satisfied, but after all, that's not what science is about, to rest on our laurels. At WOMAI, we want to intrigue our guests every day with further aspects of the world, the uniqueness of which we do not even realise. For one moment, you will look at the world from a different perspective. Thanks to WOMAI, this moment, although it will pass quickly, will stay in your memory for a long time.
