Two presentations, one goal – a world accessible to everyone.

On October 4th, our guide, Sylwia Ziarnik, spoke as a presenter at two exceptional events: during the conference “Inclusivity in Therapy: The Voice of People with Disabilities”, organized by the Polish Association of Psychology Students and Graduates, and at Hackathon HackYeah – one of the largest technology events in Poland.

During her presentations, Sylwia shared insights on how to collaborate with blind individuals and how to design services and solutions that are accessible to everyone. Her perspective as a visually impaired person helped participants better understand what daily life is like in a world that is still not always adapted to diverse needs.

As Sylwia emphasized:

“In my opinion, the profession of a psychologist or psychotherapist is a particularly special one. By definition, they help others. Blind and visually impaired people make up a large group of recipients of these services—not to mention people who are completely blind. That is why I am very happy that I could participate in the Inclusivity in Therapy conference organized by the Association of Psychology Graduates. I am very grateful for the opportunity to take part in this event and to bring participants closer to my world.”

Sylwia also participated in HackYeah, where she shared her knowledge about digital accessibility:

“Attending the HackYeah conference was a completely new experience for me. I was able to share my knowledge about accessibility. I am especially delighted that one of the participants was a professional who adapts websites for people with various needs. She could see what using the web is like for a visually impaired person like me, which was very valuable for her.”

We are proud that Sylwia represents us at such important events and, through her work, genuinely contributes to building a more inclusive and accessible world – both in the fields of therapy and technology.
